Research question: How did major early interpreters in the currently curated corpus identify or extend the rock/Peter language?

The currently curated patristic witnesses do not reduce to one simple later confessional formula. v57 preserves that diversity as counterevidence against claims that “the fathers plainly all meant X.”

What this does not establish

That Origen was historically first.
That the curated fathers are statistically representative of all patristic interpretation.
That disagreement among fathers makes the text unknowable.
That later Catholic, Orthodox, or Protestant formulations are reducible to one father.
